HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 48720 RESOLUTION NO. 4872 0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A CERTAIN PORTION OF AN UN -NAMED ALLEY. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa, upon recommendation of the Planning Commission, does hereby declare its intention to vacate a certain portion of an un -named alley in the City of Azusa as shown on a map or plan on file in the office of the City Clerk to which reference is made for further particulars, described as follows: That portion of the first alley north of Foothill Boulevard running from the easterly edge of Loren Avenue a distance of 90 feet, more or less, to the east end of said alley, lying generally between Lots 14 and 17 in Tract No. 14072 as per map recorded in Book 282, pages 20 and 21 of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County. SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby elect to proceed to vacate the said portion of said street or alley under the provisions of Part 30 Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 3. The hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. on Monday, the 2nd of August, 1965, is hereby fixed as the time and the Council Chamber in the City Hall at 213 East Foothill, Azusa, California, is hereby fixed as the place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion of said street or alley. SECTION 4. Notices of Street Vacation shall be posted by the Street Superintendant in the manner prescribed by Section 8322 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. . SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause the same to be published within fifteen days of its adoption in one regular issue of the Azusa Herald, a news- paper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa.
