RESOLUTION NO. 4816
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
ORDERING THE VACATION OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF
CERRITOS AVENUE AND RESERVING AND EXCEPTING IN FAVOR
OF THE CITY OF AZUSA CERTAIN EASEMENTS LOCATED THEREIN
FOR PUBLIC UTILITY AND OTHER PURPOSES
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby
find, determine, and declare as follows:
(a) That on the 15th day of March, 1965, at a regular
meeting of said Council Resolution No. 4807 duly was adopted by a
unanimous vote of said Council setting the time for hearing on the
proposed vacation of a certain portion of Cerritos Avenue located within
the City of Azusa;
(b) That said area proposed to be vacated is more
particularly described as follows:
That portion of Lot 88 of Subdivision No. 2 Azusa Land
and Water Company as recorded in Book 43 Page 94 of
Miscellaneous Records of the County Recorder, County of
Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at a point of beginning on the southerly line
of Lot 88, a distance of 235.00 feet easterly, from the
southwest corner of said lot, said point of beginning
also being the intersection of the westerly line of
Cerritos Avenue, of varying width, and the northerly
line of Fifth Street, 60 feet wide, (as they existed on
March 3, 19b5); thence N 890 59' 25" E along the
easterly prulongation of said northerly line 23.59 feet
to the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the
northwest having a radius of 39.77 feet; thence easterly,
northerly, and westerly alon§ said curve through a
central angle of 1230 20' 57 for an are distance of
85.62 feet to a point of reverse curve, (a radial line
of said reverse curve at said point bears S 560 38' 23" W);
thence northerly along said reverse curve concave to north-
east having a radius of 339.00 feet through a central angle
of 100 15' 02" for an arc distance of 60.65 feet; thence
S 890 59' 25" W 28.17 feet to a point on the westerly
line of Cerritos Avenue, of varying width; thence S 00 00'
35" E along said westerly line 115.00 feet to the point
of beginning.
SUBJECT TO AND RESERVING AND EXCEPTING from said vacation
the permanent easement and right at any time, or from time
to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove,
renew and enlarge therein lines of pipe, conduits, cables,
wires and poles, and other convenient structures, equipment
and fixtures for the operation and distribution of storm
drain, sewer, mater and gas pipe lines, and traffic signal
conduits, and electric energy, telegraph and telephone
poles and wires and cables.
(c) That on the 5th day of April, 1965, at a regular
Council meeting the said City Council did hold a public hearing to
determine whether the said area above-described should be vacated as a
public street.

SECTION 2. It hereby is found, determined, and declared by
the City Council of the City of Azusa, after hearing the evidence adduced
and considering staff reports pertinent thereto, that the above-described
portion of Cerritos Avenue within the City of Azusa is not necessary for
present or prospective public street purposes and the general welfare and
convenience of the City of Azusa require that the same be vacated. The
said portion of Cerritos Avenue above-described hereby is vacated as a
public street, excepting and reserving to the City the easements, as
above described.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and cause the same to be recorded with the office of the
Recorder of the County of Los Angeles and to file all other necessary
documents in order that this vacation become effective.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 5th day of April , 1965.

adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa, at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 5th day of April , 1965, by the following
vote of the Council:
