RESOLUTION NO. 4807
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A CERTAIN
PORTION OF CERRITOS AVENUE SUBJECT TO THE
RESERVATION AND EXCEPTION OF CERTAIN EASEMENTS.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa, upon
recommendation of the Planning Commission, does hereby declare its
intention to vacate a certain portion of Cerritos Avenue in the City of
Azusa as shown on a map or plan on file in the office of the City Clerk
to which reference is made for further particulars, described as follows:
That portion of Lot 88 of Subdivision No. 2 Azusa Land
and Water Company as recorded in Book 43 Page 94 of
Miscellaneous Records of the County Recorder, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at a point of beginning on the southerly line
of Lot 88, a distance of 235.00 feet easterly, from the
southwest corner of said lot, said point of beginning
also being the intersection of the westerly line of
Cerritos Avenue, of varying width, and the northerly
line of Fifth Street, 60 feet wide, (as they existed
on March 3, 1965); thence N 890 59' 25" E along the
easterly prolongation of said northerly line 23.59
feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave to
the northwest having a radius of 39.77 feet; thence
easterly, northerly, and westerly along said curve through
a central angle of 1230 201 57" for an are distance of
85.62 feet to a point of reverse curve, (a radial line
of said reverse curve at said point bears S 560 38' 23" W);
thence northerly along said reverse curve concave to north-
east having a radius of 339.00 feet through a central angle
of 100 151 02" for an are distance of 60.65 feet; thence
S 89' 59' 25" W 28.17 feet to a point on the westerly
line of Cerritos Avenue, of varying width; thence S 00
001 35" E along said westerly line 115.00 feet to the
point of beginning.
SUBJECT TO AND RESERVING AND EXCEPTING from said vacation
the permanent easement and right at any time, or from time
to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove,
renew and enlarge therein lines of pipe, conduits, cables,
wires and poles, and other convenient structures, equip-
ment and fixtures for the operation and distribution of
storm drain, sewer, water and gas pipe lines, and traffic
signal conduits, and electric energy, telegraph and telephone
poles and wires and cables.
The City Council does hereby determine that the public con-
venience and necessity require the reservation of the easements and rights
of way enumerated above. These proceedings for the vacation of said
portion of Cerritos Avenue are taken subject to such reservations and
exceptions.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby
elect to proceed to vacate the said portion of said street under the pro-
visions of Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California.

SECTION 3. The hour of 8:00 o1clock P.M. on Monday, the
5th day of April, 1965, is hereby fixed as the time and the Council
Chamber in the City Hall at 213 East Foothill, Azusa, California, is
hereby fixed as the place for hearing all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion of said street.
SECTION 4. Notices of Street Vacation shall be posted by
the Street Superintendent in the manner prescribed by Section 8322 of
the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and shall cause the same to be published within fifteen
days of its adoption in one regular issue of the Azusa Herald, a news-
paper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the
City of Azusa.
