HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 4978RESOLUTION NO. 4978 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA HONORING FRANK G. BONELLI FOR HIS CONTRIBUTION TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY WHEREAS, Mr. Frank G. Bonelli has given unstintingly of his time and talents in the interest of City, County and State government for a period of approximately twenty years, beginning with his appointment to the City Council of the City of Huntington Park, California in June 1946, followed by his election to a full four-year term in April, 1948, and again re-elected in April of 1952; and WHEREAS, he served as Mayor of the City of Huntington Park for the year of 1949 and again for the year of 1953; and WHEREAS, he served as a member of the California State Assembly as representa- tive from the 52nd Assembly District in 1953 and was re-elected in 1954 and again in 1956; and WHEREAS, he is presently a member of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, having served since June, 1958, part of which time he was Chairman; and WHEREAS, his experience in all phases of City, County and State government has been extremely valuable in his efforts to resolve the many problems encountered fairly and impartially and has earned for him the highest esteem and confidence of all; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Azusa hereby commends Mr. Frank G. Bonelli for his interest in and effort on behalf of this City and other cities and expresses its sincere thanks and appreciation for his dedication towards the orderly and progressive development of the County of Los Angeles, California. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall transmit a certified copy thereof to Mr. Frank G. Bonelli.
