HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 5082r 0 RESOLUTION N0. 5083 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DETERMINING THAT THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS IS NECESSARY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA HEREBY DOES DETERMIIXEs ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. WHEREAS, the City Council carefully has considered all matters relating to the proposed construction of sidewalks in the streets hereinafter set forth, all of said streets being within the City of Azusa. Said streets are as follows: Haltern Street, the northerly and southerly sides between Rockvale Avenue and Twin Tree Avenue, Haltern Street, the northerly side between Twin Tree Avenue and the prolongation of the easterly line of Viceroy Avenue. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA HEREBY DOES FIND AND DETERMINE in accordance with the provisions of Section 2810 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, that the construction of sidewalks as above described is required for the safety of pupils attending the schools within the City of Azusa and the necessity exists for the institution of proceedings in accordance with said Section 2810 and the construction of said sidewalks is necessary for the safety of said pupils. SECTION 2. The proceedings shall be exempt from the provisions of the Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation, and Majority Protest Act of 1931. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
