The City Council of the City of Azusa
met in regular session at the above
time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilman:
Malone, Arnold, Meier, Chester, Morden,
City Attorney and City Clerk.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA AUTHORIZING AND EMPOWERING
THE CITY ENGINEER OF SAID CITY TO SIGN AND
FILE AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE EMERGENCY
RELIEF ADMINISTRATION FOR A PROJECT TO BE
KNOWN AS "CITY OF AZUSA STREET IMPROVEMENTS."
Moved by Councilman Meier, seconded by
Councilman Arnold that this Resolution be
adopted as read a:3d numbered Resolution
No. 1418.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilman: Malone, Arnold, Meier,
Chester, Morden.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Meier, seconded by
Councilman Arnold and duly carried that the
matter of transferring from.,the General -
Fund to the Series Account, a sufficient sum
' to pay principle and interest on 1915 Street
Improvement Bonds, be referred to the City
Attorney to report back to the Audit and
Finance Committee.
On motion made by Councilman Arnold, duly
seconded by Councilman Malone it is Resolved
that the agreement between the County of
Los Angeles, therein called the County, and
the City of Azusa, therein called the City,
dated August 15, 1932, therein recited as
"commencing on the first day of July, 1931,
and terminating on the thirtieth day of
June, 1934, inclusive,", relating tb health

Matter of transfer re-
ferred to City Attorney
Contract between the
City of Azusa and the
Los Angeles County
Health Department
cancelled.
The minutes of the last regular meeting
of June 2, 1934 were read and approved
as read.

The monthly report of the Los Angeles
County Health Department was presented and
ordered placed on file.
Moved and•carried that the City Clerk be
'instructed to cancel bond for City Street
Superindendent, Arthur Wolfe.
A communication from the Chair man of the
Arcadia Civic Committee and Los Angeles
County League of Municipalities was read
and ordered placed on file.
A request, made by the City of Pomona, to
hang a banner across the street advertising
the Los Angeles County Fair, was presented.
Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by
Councilman Malone that this request be
granted.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Meier,
Chester, Morden.
Noes: None. Absent: None.

Councilman Chester offered a Resolution
entitled:

service in said City of Azusa be not
extended or•renewed and that the,City
Clerk be and"hereby is directed to give
written notice to the County of the action
of this Council and that said contract
will not be extended or renewed."
Mr. Hayden addressed the City Council
relative to the activity of the local Mr. Hayden requested
Chamber of Commerce and requested the the fee paid to the
Board to restore the monthly fee paid for Chamber of Commerce
advertising. be resumed.
Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by
Councilman Arnold thAt this matter be re-
ferred to the City Council as a Committee
of the Whole.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Meier,
Chester, Morden.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
A commercial consumer contract between the
City of Azusa and the Standard Oil Company Standard Oil Company
for the purchase of a 90 day supply of gas- contract accepted.
