HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 5028RESOLUTION NO. 5028 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING THAT PORTION OF EXHIBIT A OF RESOLUTION NO. 4693 RELATING TO THE UTILITIES DEPARTMENT. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That portion of Exhibit A attached to Resolution No. 4693, adopted July 20, 1964, relating to the Utilities Department, is hereby amended as follows: 1. That portion reading as follows: "5 is hereby amended to read: II 4 Linemen 23" Linemen 23" 2. That portion relating to the Electric Division is amended by the addition of the following: "1 Working Foreman (Lineman) 24" SECTION 2. Exhibit C attached to said Resolution No. 4693 is hereby amended by the addition thereto of the fob classifica- tion schedule for Working Foreman (Lineman) which is attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. 1966. Adopted and approved this 2nd day of May , I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of May , 19660 by the following vote of the Council: AYES: Councilmen: Cooney, Solem, McLees, Memmesheimer NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: Rubio WORKING FOREMAN (LINEMAN) QUALIFICATIONS GUIDE Training and Experience Applicants must have Journeyman Lineman status and have been employed by the City of Azusa as Lineman for at least one year. KnowledRe and Abilities Applicants should have a thorough knowledge of the materials. methods, equipment, tools, used in' constructing, repairing and maintaining overhead electrical lines, extensions, ser- vices and meters; skill in making .electrical system instal- lations and repairs; skill in climbing poles and making electrical repairs; skill in making tests and hanging trans- formers; ability to read sketches and blueprints; ability to plan and direct the work of a small crew; ability to under- stand and carry out written and oral directions; ability,and willingness to climb poles and work above the ground; physi- cal fitness; willingness to take.proper precautions regarding the safety of others. 1] Job Summary WORKING FOREMAN (LINEMAN) 0 Under supervision, supervises a small crew engaged in the work of construction and repairing electrical distribution system lines; climbs poles in electrical construction and repair work. When necessary, acts as Service Foreman or as Line Foreman, when not engaged in regular• -fine -work,• -and does related work as required. Organizational Relationships A Working Foreman is of the first level supervisory class found in the Electric Division of the Light, Power and Water Department. This employee reports to the Electric General Foreman, and supervises the work of the crew tem- porarily assigned to him while acting in the Foreman capacity.
