Present at roll call: Councilmen: Mal one, Arnold, Chester, Morden, City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman: Meier. The minutes of the last regular meeting of August 20, 1934 were read and approved as read. An Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 288. was read. Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by Councilman Arnold that this Ordinance be introduced. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Chester, Morden. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Meier. An Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 289. was read. Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by Councilman Arnold that this Ordinance be introduced. Carried by the following vote of the Council': Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Chester, Morden. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Meier. Councilman Chester offered a Resolution entitled: 53 ORDINANCE read for the first time. ORDINANCE read for the first time. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELESCOUNTY, CALIF- RESOLUTION NO. 1425 ORNIA, EMPLOYING CHARLES W. BECK AND HUGH ADOPTED. 'H. MORGAN AS REGULAR EMPLOYEES OF THE STREET DEPARTMENT Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by Councilman Arnold that this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1425. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Chester, Morden. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Meier. A communication, signed by M. S. Vosburg, relative to a City well site was read. Moved by Councilman Chester; -seconded by Councilman Arnold that this matter be referred to the City Council as a Committee of the Whole.
