A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A CERTAIN
PORTION OF AZUSA AVENUE SUBJECT TO THE RESERVATION
AND EXCEPTION OF CERTAIN EASEMENTS.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa, upon
recommendation of the Planning Commission, does hereby declare its
intention to vacate a certain portion of Azusa Avenue in the City of
Azusa as shown on a map or plan on file in the office of the City Clerk
to which reference is made for further particulars, described as
follows:
That portion of the Azusa Rancho belonging to Henry Dalton
in the City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of Cali-
fornia, as recorded in Book 2, pages 106 and 107 of Patents,
Records of Los Angeles County, California,
Commenci at the intersection of Sierra Madre Ave. (50
feet wide and Azusa Ave. (80 feet wide) as shown on the
Map of Tract 627 as recorded in Map Book 15, pages 106 and
107 in the office of the County Recorder of said County;
thence S 000 20' 51" W along the centerline of Azusa Ave.
46.36 feet to the true point of beginning; thence S 000 20'
51" W along said centerline 208.22 feet; thence N 890 39'
09" W 40.00 feet to the intersection of the westerly line
of Azusa Ave. and the easterly line of San Gabriel Canyon
Road; thence N 000 20' 51" E along said westerly line,
206.53 feet to a point on a curve concave to the north-
west having a radius of 3800 feet, a radial to said point
bears N 1° 46' 00" W; thence northeasterly along said curve
through a central angle of 00 36' 13" for an are distance
of 40.03 feet to the true point of beginning, a radial
to said point bears N 20 22' 13" W.
SUBJECT TO AND RESERVING AND EXCEPTING from said vacation
the permanent easement and right at any time, or from
time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace,
remove, renew and enlarge therein lines of pipe, conduits,
cables, wires and poles, and other convenient structures,
equipment and fixtures for the operation and distribution
of storm drain, sewer, water and gas pipe lines, and traffic
signal conduits, and electric energy, telegraph and telephone
poles and wires and cables.
The City Council does hereby determine that the public con-
venience and necessity require the reservation of the rights, easements
and rights of way enumerated above. These proceedings for the vacation
of said portion of Azusa Avenue are taken subject to such reservations
and exceptions.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby
elect to proceed to vacate the said portion of said street under the
provisions of Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California.
SECTION 3. The hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. on Monday, the 18th
day of September, 1967, is hereby fixed as the time and the Council
Chamber in the City Hall at 213 East Foothill, Azusa, California, is
hereby fixed as the place for hearing all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion of said street.
SECTION 4. Notices of Street Vacation shall be posted by the
Street Superintendent in the manner prescribed by Section 6322 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and shall cause the same to be published within fifteen
days of its adoption in one regular issue of the Azusa Herald, a news-
paper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the
City of Azusa.
