The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Meier, Chester, Morden, City Attorney and City Clerk. The minutes of the last regular meeting of September 4 and the regular adjourned meeting of September 60 1934 were read and approved as read. A communication, signed by J. K. Richards, relative to a Distribution Depot in Azusa was read and ordered placed on file. A communication, signed by Dorothy L. Chester, relative to an amendment to the by-laws of the Azusa Public Library, was read. Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by Councilman Chester and duly carried that same be referred to the City Attorney. A request, made by J. C. Petersen for the use of the Auditorium for an illustrated lecture on Anti Communism, was offered. Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by Councilman Chester that same be granted, provided no admission is charged. The monthly report of the Los Angeles ' County Health Department was presented and ordered placed on file. Councilman Arnold offered an Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 288. to be placed upon its second reading. This Ordinance was then read for the second time. Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by Councilman Chester that this Ordinanw be adopted as read and numbered Ordinance No. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Meier, Chester, Morden. Noes: None. Absent: None. Councilman Meier offered an Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 289. to be placed upon its second reading. This Ordinance was then read for the second time. Moved by Councilman Meier, seconded by Councilman Arnold that this Ordinance be adopted as read and numbered Ordinance No. 314: ' Minutes read and approved. Communication read and ordered placed on file. Communication read and referred to the City Attorney. J. C. Petersen granted permission to use the Auditorium. Report of the Los Angeles County Health Department ordered placed on file. ORDINANCE NO. 313 ADOPTED. ORDINANCE NO. 314. Noes: None. Absent: None. Councilman Arnold offered an Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ORDINANCE NO. 315. ' ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ADOPTED. ORDINANCE NO. 284, AS AMENDED, BY ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION NO. 129. to be placed upon its second reading. This Ordinance was then read for the second time. Moved by Councilman Meier, seconded by Councilman Arnold that this Ordinance be adopted as read and numbered Ordinance No. 315. Carried by -the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Meier, Chester, Morden. Noes: None. Absent: None. Moved by Councilman Mahone, seconded by Councilman Arnold that the following bills be allowed and warrants ordered drawn upon the Treasury for the same. Bills.
