HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 52090 RESOLUTION NO. 5209 0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF-.AZUSA ACCEPTING A CERTAIN GRANT OF EASEMENT AND DIRECTING THE RECORDING THEREOF. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1 That certain Grant of Easement executed by Dwight M. Kendall and Dona S. Kendall under date of 20th day of March 1967, granting to the CITY OF AZUSA, a Municipal Corporation in Los Angeles County, California, its successors and assigns, the right to perpetual easement and right of way for public purposes for roadway purposes. in,- on, over, under, across and along the following described rea I property situate in the CL Y. OF AZUSA, Los Angeles County, State of California to wit: sf�E I TTA'cttE�> Said Grant of Easement is hereby accepted, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause the same to be filed for record in the office of the County Records of said County. SECTION 2 The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. Adopted and approved this 3rd day of April , 19 67 Mayor of the City of Azusa I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 3rd day of April, 19 67 , by the following vote of the Council: AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: None Cooney, Solem, McLees, Memmesheimer 0 0 PARCEL 1: That portion of the west half of the southeast quarter of Fractional Section 3, Township 1 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino meridian, county of Los Angeles, state of California, according to the official plat of said land filed in the District Land Office April 21, 1877 described as follows: Beginning at a point in the north line of said southeast quarter (being the south line of Gladstone Street, formerly Broadway, 60 feet wide as it existed March 13, 1967) distant east 590.96 feet from a three-quarter inch iron pipe set in cement at the northwest corner of said southeast quarter; thence easterly along said north line 200 feet to a three-quarter inch iron pipe in cement at the northeasterly corner of the land described in Certificate of Title No. MF -9436 on file in the office of the Registrar of said county, thence along the boundary of said land, South 0° 09' 30" West 466.17 feet, more or less, to the northwesterly line of the 65 foot wide strip of land condemned for flood control pruposes by final decree of condem- nation entered in Case No. 561681, Superior Court, a certified copy of which decree was filed on April 18, 1950, as Document No. 11176-5 on Certificate of Title No. IC -86458 in said office of the Registrar of Titles (and recorded April 4, 1950, as Instrument No. 3292, in book 32760 page 216, Official Records, in the office of the county recorder of said county); thence along said northwesterly line, South 59° 00' 28" West 231 .51 feet, more or less, to a point that bears due south from the point of beginning; thence North 582.77 feet, more or less, to a point that bears due south from the point of beginning; thence North 582.77 feet, more or less, to said point of beginning. EXCEPT that portion of the above described land included within the lines of that certain parcel of land designated as Parcel No. 454 in final decree of condemnation entered in Superior Court, Los Angeles County, Case No. 741924, a certified copy of which was recorded in book D 1201 page 805, Official Records of said county. PARCEL 2: That portion of the west half of the southeast quarter of Fractional Section 3, Township 1 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino meridian, county of Los Angeles, state of California, according to the official plat of said land filed in the District Land office April 21, 1877, described as follows: Beginning at a point marked by a three-quarter inch iron pipe in the north line of said southeast quarter, being the south line of Gladstone Street, formerly Broadway, 60 feet wide as it existed March 13, 1967, distant East 476.00 feet from a three- fourths inch iron pipe set in cement at the northwest corner of said southeast quarter; thence east along said north line 114.96 feet; thence due south 684.61 feet; thence North 89° 02' West 296.40 feet to the center line of a strip of land described in an easement conveyed to Los Angeles County Flood Control District, filed as Document No. 189409, under Certificate of Title GG -60142 on file in the office of the Registrar of Titles of said county; thence along said center line and its northeasterly prolongation North 26° 11' 33" East 410.98 feet to a line that bears due south of a three-fourths inch iron pipe that is due south 208 feet from the point of beginning; thence north 102.83 feet to last mentioned three-fourths inch iron pipe; thence north 208 feet to the point of beginning. EXCEPT that portion of the above described land lying southeasterly of the north- westerly line of the land described in Parcel No. 454, in final decree of condem- nation entered in Superior Court, Los Angeles County, Case No. 741924, a certified copy of which was recorded in book D 1201 page 805, Official Records of said county.
