HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 5378RESOLUTION NO. 5378 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA HONORING CHIEF OF POLICE ALBERT L. KENDRICK ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT AS A CITY EMPLOYEE WHEREAS, Mr. Albert L. Kendrick has served the Police Department of the City of Azusa as a dedicated employee for a period of twenty-one years; and WHEREAS, during this period of City service he rose from the rank of beginning Officer to Chief of the Department, a position he has held approximately nineteen years; and WHEREAS, throughout his many years he has contributed tremendously in guiding the growth and development of the department with diligence and forethought, ever mindful of the need to provide efficiency and quality as well as quantity in establishing the goals and high standards of police protection in the City of Azusa; and WHEREAS, Mr. Albert L. Kendrick has informed this City Council of his plans to terminate as Chief of Police to accept a well-deserved retirement effective May 1, 1968; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this City Council, recognizing this loss to our City, does most respectfully accept this forthcoming termination and does here- with extend its most sincere thanks to Mr. Albert L. Kendrick for a job well done and its best wishes for many, many years of enjoyment of the retirement he has well earned and so richly deserves. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall transmit a certified copy thereof to Mr. Albert L. Kendrick. Adopted and approved this 15th day of April, 1968. Mayor of the City cf Azusa I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15th day of April, 1968, by the following vote of the Council: AYES: Councilmen: NOES: Councilmen: ABSENT: Councilmen: Rubio, Calvert, Salem, McLees, Cooney
