RESOLUTION NO. 5359
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA GRANTING A VARIANCE. (V-211 - Standard
011 Co.)
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
follows :
SECTION 1. It is hereby found and determined that applica-
tion for a variance to waive the requirement of placing a six (6)
foot high masonry wall separating a C-2 zone from an R zone on real
property located at 101 North Azusa Avenue, in the City of Azusa, was
duly made, that a hearing thereon was duly held by the Planning Com-
mission after legal notice thereof, that the Planning Commission
granted said variance subject to certain conditions by its Resolution
No. 706, that said action was appealed to the City Council and that
the City Council has held a hearing thereon after legal notice thereof.
SECTION 2. It is hereby found by the City Council that
facts exist justifying the granting of said variance subject to the
conditions hereinafter set forth.
SECTION 3. A variance is hereby granted to waive the wall
requirement as requested on the property located at 101 North Azusa
Avenue in the City of Azusa, subject to the following conditions,
violation of any of which shall be grounds for terminating this
variance:
1. When a six (6) foot high masonry wall is constructed
on the easterly property line of Lots 579 58, 59, 6G and 61, Block
76, Map of Azusa, then two (2) planters, each thirty-six (36) inches
wide, shall be placed along the westerly property line. One planter
shall extend twenty (20) feet south from the northerly property line
and the other planter shall extend ten (10) feet north from the
southerly property line. Both planters shall be surrounded by a
concrete curb not less than six (6) inches in height and adequate
irrigation shall be provided.
2. Any other conditions imposed by Planning Commission
Resolution No. 706 adopted December 20, 1967.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and shall transmit a certified copy thereof to
applicant.
