RESOLUTION NO. 5336
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA APPOINTING RICHARD R. TERZIAN
AS CITY ATTORNEY PROVIDING FOR COMPENSATION
AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 5328.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. Resolution No. 5328 be and hereby is
rescinded effective January 2, 1968.
SECTION 2. That Richard R. Terzian be, and is here-
by, appointed and retained as City Attorney of the City of Azusa,
effective January 2, 1968.
SECTION 3. The said appointee shall receive as
compensation a retainer of $900.00 per month, payable monthly; pro-
vided, however, that for services rendered by the City Attorney
outside of the County of Los Angeles and for services rendered in
the preparation of municipal bond issues, and for services rendered
in actions in court, appearances and hearings before administrative
boards, and in hearings before any of the commissions of the State
of California, or for any proceedings initiated or undertaken under
Improvement acts, and for any special and extraordinary services,
the City Attorney shall be paid, in addition to the foregoing re-
tainer, such compensation as shall be commensurate with the services
rendered.
SECTION 4. That the City Attorney shall not be
deemed to be on regular duty, shall not be deemed to be within the
classified service of the City and said retainer shall be deemed
and considered as a professional retainer fee, including his normal
overhead expenses and stenographic service.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution and shall deliver a certified copy thereof
to said Richard R. Terzian.
