RESOLUTION N0. 5497
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA ORDERING THE VACATION OF CERTAIN RIGHTS
AND EASEMENTS WITH RESPECT TO FISH CANYON.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
follows:
WHEREAS, proceedings were instituted by the City Council
to vacate certain rights, easements and rights of way with respect
to a strip of land 20 feet in width, lying 10 feet on each side of
a certain described center line in the Fish Canyon area within the
City of Azusa under the provisions of Title 5, Division 1, Part 1,
Chapter 2, Article 5 of the Government Code of the State of Calif-
ornia, and Resolution No.. 5488 of its intention to so vacate said
rights, easements and rights of way was adopted and approved on
the 4th day of November, 1968, and a hearing fixed for the 2nd day
of December, 1968; and

ance with said Article 5; and.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
of Azusa does hereby order vacated all its right, title and interest
in and to the following described real property:
An easement for highway purposes over a strip of
land 20 feet in width, lying 10 feet on each side
of the following described center line:
Beginning at a point on a line projected from the
northeast corner of Section 21, Township 1 North,
Range 10 West, through a stake in a pipe set at the
most northerly corner of the Rancho Azusa de Duarte,
being Station 8 of the boundary of said Rancho, said
point of beginning begin 340 feet southerly from
said Station 8; thence lying 10 feet on each side of
the center line of the right of way of the road, as
constructed in Fish Canyon, Los Angeles County,
California; by Dr. Ross A: Harris, and continuing
along said center line in a direction up said Canyon
to a.point marked Star "A" on the map thereto attached
and made a part thereof; thence North 33036' West
217.90 feet from said point marked Star "A" on the
map thereto attached; thence North 1705'45" East
237.67 feet; thence North 26018'15" East 298.94 feet;
thence North 4108130" West 371.08 feet; thence North
7014'15" East 308.77 feet; thence North 27055'15"
West 407.41 feet; thence North 47013130" East to the
North line of Section 22, Township 1 North, Range
10 West, said strip being bounded on the southerly

end by the line first above described and on the
north by the north line of said Section 22, together
with 2 turnouts namely, turnout No. 1 to be described
as being approximately 80 feet from the intersection
of the 20 foot strip and second across fence above
said point marked Star "A" which said turnout shall
be 65 feet in length and 15 feet wide and to run
along and close to a wire fence and pipe on the
west side of said Fish Canyon Road, the easterly
boundary of which said road has been designated by
the erection of 2 stone monuments; turnout No. 2
being approximately 200 feet south and westerly
from the north line of the property of said Dr. Ross
A. Harris in said Canyon where a stone monument has
been erected therefor, which said turnout shall be
65 feet in length and 15 feet in width; as granted
to the County of Los Angeles, by deed recorded in
book 5876 page 287, of Deeds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall certify
to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause a certified copy
thereof, attested by him under seal, to be recorded in the office
of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.

1968.
