HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 54790 RESOLUTION NO. 5+79 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED EASTERLY ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 70 TO THE CITY OF AZUSA. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, on the 7th day of October, 1968, the City Council of the City of Azusa did pass and adopt Resolution No. 5473, giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Azusa, said territory being therein designated as Easterly Annexation District No. 70, and said resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, a petition requesting annexation of said unin- habited territory signed by owners of all the land therein had theretofore been filed with the City; and WHEREAS, on the 21st day of October, 1968, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chamber in the Azusa Auditorium located in the Civic Center at 213 East Foothill Boulevard in the City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolu- tion No. 5473 for hearing of protests to said annexation, a hearing thereon was held, proper notice of said proceedings and said hearing having been duly given and published; and WHEREAS, at said hearing at said time and place no protest to said annexation was made by any owner of property within the City of Azusa who did not also own property in the territory to be annexed; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Azusa, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Los Angeles; NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby approve the annexation of the territory herein- after described to the City of Azusa, and does hereby further resolve that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Azusa. That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Azusalis hereby approved, is all that territory situate in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly described as follows: That portion of the Rancho Azusa de Dalton, in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, bounded by the following described lines: Beginning at the intersection of the westerly line of Citrus Avenue, as described in deed to the County of Los Angeles recorded as Document No. 988, on November 25, 1930, in Book 10388, Page 381, of Official Records in the office of the Recorder of said County, with the most southerly line of the parcel of land as described in deed to the State of California recorded as Docu- ment No. 1261, on February 10, 195A, in Book D7, Page 794, of said Official Records; thence North 00 05' 45" • East 328.34 feet along said westerly line and its northerly prolongation; thence North 890 54, 15" West 659.76 feet along a line perpendicular to said northerly prolongation of the westerly line of Citrus Avenue to a point in the northeasterly line of Alosta Avenue, 80 feet wide, as described in deed to the State of Califor- nia, recorded as Document No. 872, on June 29, 1933, in Book 12230, Page 230, of said Official Records; thence South 260 201 15" West 80.00 feet to a point in the southwesterly line of said Alosta Avenue; thence south- easterly along said southwesterly line, on a curve con- cave to the northeast, having a radius of 2290.00 feet, to the westerly line of the parcel of land as described in said deed recorded in Book D7 Page 794, of said Official Records; thence southerly, southeasterly and easterly along the westerly, southwesterly and southerly lines of said last mentioned parcel of land to the point of beginning.
