RESOLUTION N0. 5410
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA DECLARING THAT PROCEEDINGS HAVE BEEN INITIATED
BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA TO ANNEX TO SAID
CITY CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN
AND DESIGNATED "EASTERLY ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 69',
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
follows:
1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, proceedings have been initiated by
the City Council of the City of Azusa to annex to the
City of Azusa all that uninhabited territory situate in the County of
Los Angeles, State of California, hereby designated as "Easterly
Annexation District No. 6911, and described as follows:
That portion of northeast 1/4 of Section 35,
Township 1 North, Range 10 West, Rancho Azusa
as recorded in Book 2, Pages 106 and 107 of
Patents in the office of the County Recorder,
County of Los Angeles, State of California,
described as follows:
Commencing at a point of beginning being the
intersection of the southerly line of the land
of Mabelie Scott Anderson et al, described in
Deed recorded in Book 19417, Page 338 of
Official Records in the office of the County
Recorder with the northeasterly line of Alosta
Avenue, 90 feet wide, as it existed on February
29, 1968, and said point also being on a south-
erly line in the easterly boundary of the City
of Azusa as it existed on February 29, 1968;
thence S 400 52, 47" E along said northeasterly
line of Alosta Avenue 601.35 feet to the center
line of Little Dalton Wash per FM20159-1; thence
S 700 31, 04,, W along said center line 364.73
feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave
to the southeast, having a radius of 1733.00 feet;
thence southwesterly along said curve through a
central angle of 20 30' 101, for an arc distance
of 75.70 feet to a point in the easterly boundary
of the City of Azusa as it existed on February 29,
1968, said point also being on the easterly line
of Rockvale Street, 60 feet wide as it existed on
February 29, 1968; thence along said easterly
boundary N 0° 06' 08" E 603.13 feet; thence S 890
57' 06" E 20.00 feet to the point of beginning.
2. That the City Council of the City of Azusa desires to
annex said uninhabited territory to the City of Azusa for the following
reasons: The territory is contiguous to the City of Azusa, is unin-
habited, and its proposed annexation will contribute to and facilitate
the orderly growth and development of both the City and the territory
proposed to be annexed.
3. That a petition requesting annexation of said unin-
habited territory signed by owners of all the land therein has been
filed with the City.

4. That the Local Agency Formation Commission of Los
Angeles County, California did in session duly assembled on
May 8, 1968, approve the proposed annexation as submitted to said
Commission by the City Council of the City of Azusa with certain
revisions reflected herein.
5. That Monday, June 17, 1968, at the hour of 8:00 p.m.,
in the Council Chamber in the Azusa Auditorium located in the Civic
Center at 213 East Foothill Boulevard in the City of Azusa, County
of Los Angeles, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place
when and where the City Council will hear protests made by any
person owning real property within the City of Azusa who does not
also own real property in the uninhabited territory above described
and proposed to be annexed to the City of Azusa.
6. The City Clerk of the City of Azusa is hereby authorized
and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at
least once in the Azusa Herald, a newspaper of general circulation
published in said City of Azusa, the City to which it is proposed
to annex the aforesaid territory, said publication to be complete
at least four days prior to the date set for hearing.
7. The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to
be given'to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto,
in the manner required by law.
8. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.
Adopted and approved this 3rd day of June , 1968.

adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting
thereof held on the day of Tune , 1968, by the
following vote of the ounce :
