RESOLUTION NO. 53819
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA PROVIDING FOR THE RECOGNITION OF CERTAIN
SIGNATURES AND FACSIMILE SIGNATURES ON WARRANTS.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The First National Bank of Azusa as a
designated depositary of this City be and it (including its corres-
pondent banks) is hereby requested, authorized, and directed to
honor all checks, drafts, or other orders for the payment of money
drawn in this City's name on its General Fund Account (including
those drawn to the individual order of any person or persons whose
names appear thereon as signer or signers thereof) WHEN BEARING OR
PURPORTING to bear the facsimile signature of any one of the
following:
Jens J. Solem, Mayor, or
Ira R. Calvert, Mayor Pro Tempore,
together with the written signatures of Dean F. Klarr, City Clerk,
or Dorothy Roehrich, Deputy City Clerk, and Alec Watkins, City
Treasurer, or Adelaide Johns, Deputy City Treasurer, examples of
those signatures appear below upon this resolution. The First
National Bank of Azusa (including its correspondent banks) shall
be entitled to honor and to charge this City's account for all
such checks, drafts or other orders for the payment of money, which
bear the written signatures above required, regardless of by whom
or by what means the actual or purported facsimile signature or
signatures thereon may have been affixed thereto, if such facsimile
specimens from time to time are filed with the First National Bank
of—Azusa by the City Clerk or other officer of this City.
SECTION 2. Resolutions Nos. 4343, 4405, 4646, 4822 and
5286 are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and shall transmit a certified copy thereof to
the First National Bank of Azusa.

RESOLUTION NO. 5388
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA RELATING TO AUTHORIZATION OF CERTAIN
OFFICERS TO EXECUTE PAYROLL CHECKS AND RESCINDING
RESOLUTIONS NO'S. 2789 AND 4081 WITH RESPECT
THERETO.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. Resolution No. 2789 adopted June 1, 1953 is
hereby rescinded.
SECTION 2. Resolution No. 4081 adopted August 23, 1960
is hereby rescinded.
SECTION 3. Dean F. Klarr, City Clerk of the City of Azusa
is hereby appointed Payroll Clerk of the City of Azusa.
SECTION 4. Said Dean F. Klarr and Alec Watkins, City
Treasurer of the City of Azusa, acting alone or jointly, are hereby
authorized to execute any and all checks drawn on any payroll bank
account or accounts of the City of Azusa.
SECTION 5. The Deputy City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and transmit a certified copy thereof
to any bank where any such payroll account is maintained.

RESOLUTION NO. 5387
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY OF
AZUSA ON THE 9TH DAY OF APRIL, 1968, DECLARING
THE RESULT THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS
ARE PROVIDED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, a regular general municipal election was held
and conducted in the City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State
of California, on Tuesday, the 9th day of April, 1968, as required
by law; and
WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly
given in time, form and manner as provided by law; that voting
precincts were properly established; that election officers were
appointed and that in all respects said election was held and
conducted and the votes cast thereat, received and canvassed and
the returns made and declared in time, form and manner as required
by the provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California
for the holding of elections in cities; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5370 adopted the
1st day of April, 1968, the City Clerk of the City of Azusa
canvassed the returns of said election and has certified the results
to this City Council, said results are received, attached and made
a part hereof as "Exhibit A."
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That there were 18 voting precincts
established for the purpose of holding said election consisting
of the regular election precincts in the City of Azusa as established
for the holding of state and county elections.
SECTION 2. That said regular general municipal election
was held for the purpose of electing the following officers of said
City as required by the laws relating to cities in the State of
California, to wit:

Two Members of the City Council of said City for
the full term of four years;
A City Clerk of said City for the full term of
four years;
A City Treasurer of said City for the full term
of four years;
SECTION 3. That the whole number of votes cast in said
City (except absent voter ballots) was 2598.
That the whole number of absent voter ballots cast in
said City was 55, making a total of 2653 votes cast in said City.
SECTION 4. That the names of persons voted for at said
election for Member of the City Council of said City are as follows:

That the names of the persons voted for at said election
for City Clerk of said City are as follows:
