The City Council of the City of Azusa
met in regular session at the above time
and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen:
Malone, Arnold, Chester, Morden, City
Attorney and City Clerk.
Absent: Councilman Meier.
The minutes of the last regular meeting of
January 21, 1935 were read and approved
as read.
A communication relative to the care of

Councilman Malone that the City Clerk be
authorized and directed to write the Owens- City Clerk instructed
Vosburg Insurance Company instructing them to authorize -issuance
to issue a Fire Insurance Policy covering of Fire Insurance
the building' -known as the Azusa Public Policy.
Library, in the amount of $6,000.00 effect-

A communication, from Philip B. Fleming,
Acting Deputy Administrator for Federal Inventory of Public
Emergency Administration of Public Works, Works Projects referred
requesting an inventory of neededprojects, was to the City Council as a

Councilman Chester that this Ordinance be
adopted.as read and numbered Ordinance No. 316.

Councilman Malone offered a Resolution
entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELF,S COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, ORDER-
ING THE VACATING, CLOSING AND ABANDONING FOR RESOLUTION NO. 1441
PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES, EXCEPT AS HEREIN OTHER- ADOPTED.
WISE PROVIDED, OF A CERTIAN PORTION OF THE
ALLEY IN BLOCK 20 WITHIN SAID CITY.
' Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by
Councilman Arnold that this Resolution be
adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1441.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Chester,
Morden.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Meier.
Councilman A. L. Meier's resignation as a
member of the Azusa City Council was offered. Councilman Meier's
resignation read and
Moved by Councilman Chester,seconded by ordered placed on file.
Councilman Malone that same be accepted and
placed on file.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Chester, Morden.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen Meier.
The Clerk advised the Council that pursuant
to and in accordance with Resolution No. 1437
duly passed and adopted on December 17, 1934,
The City Clerk advised
the NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORK had been posted and
the City Council that
published and that affidavits of such posting
no protests were filed
and publication were on file and such affidavits
in answer to NOTICE OF -
were thereupon exhibited to the Councils The
PUBLIC WORK.
Clerk further advised the Council that more
than ten days had expired after the time of the
completion of such posting and publication and
that this was the next meeting of the City
Council after the expiration of said posting
and publication and that no person or persons
had filed or made any objections to the pro-
posed work or improvement or otherwise re-
lating thereto.
Councilman Malone offered a Resolution

Councilman Malone andi.duly carried that City Clerk instructed
the City Clerk be instructed to write Mr. to write Councilman

Hopper to fill the vacancy on the Board.

City Council of the City of Azusa to fill the
vacancy caused by the resignation of Council-
man A. L. Meier and to hold this office for
the unexpixLed term.

Morden.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Charles W. Carr being present, took the oath
of office as perscribed by law.
Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by
Councilman Chester that the following
requisitions-be'allowed:
1158-1161-1163-1172-1177-1178-1179-1180-
1181-1184-1182.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Carr;'Arnold;
Chester, Morden.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by
Councilman Chester that the following bills
be allowed and warrants ordered drawn upon
the Treasury for the same.
