RESOLUTION NO. 5536
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 4693 RELATING
TO THE TABLE OF ORGANIZATION AND COMPENSATION
WITH RESPECT TO THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK,
EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 17, 1969.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. That portion of Exhibit A attached to
Resolution No. 4693, adopted July 20, 1964, as amended,
relating to the Office of the City Clerk, is hereby
amended by the addition thereto of the following:
"1 EDP Key Punch Operator Range 6"
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution.
Adopted and approved this 17-thday of February, 1969.

at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of

EDP KEY PUNCH OPERATOR
Job Summary
A-6
Under supervision, operates and adjusts key punch machines.
Works primarily in the area of key punching and miscellaneous
clerical work; assists EDP Equipment,Operator in the operation
of equipment such as sorters, interpreters, bursters.
Representative Duties
Primarily operates key punch with ability to produce 10,000 to
12,500 strokes per hour. Assists EDP Equipment Operator in the
operation of the mechanical equipment related to the computer
system. Follows written proa6ures and descriptions set forth
in systems description manuals. Reports the need for major and
minor repairs; compiles computer output for files and distribu-
tion; meets required schedules and deadlines. Works cooperative-
ly'with others.
Organizational Relationships
The EDP Key Punch Operator assists the EDP Equipment Operator
in the operation of the peripheral mechanical machines of the
data processing system and does necessary clerical work for
the production and distribution of a wide variety of reports
and other output necessary to the proper functioning of the
EDP system.

QUALIFICATIONS GUIDE
Training and Experience
Completion of high school and of a recognized course in
keypunch operation.
Knowledqe and Abilities
Knowledge of the operation of various tabulating equipment,
punches, sorters, bursters, and interpreters; ability to
compare names and numbers rapidly and accurately. Ability
to perofrm a wide variety of assignments assisting the
technical and professional staff of an Electronic Data
Processing operation in the performance of their duties;.,
ability to initiate and follow through on duties related
to the job; ability to establish and maintain effective
working relationships with supervisors and fellow employees.
