RESOLUTION NO. 5619
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO VACATE CERTAIN RIGHTS AND EASEMENTS.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Azusa is record owner, of a
certain easement for utility purposes on private property be-
tween Danlee Street and Foothill Boulevard near McKeever Avenue;
and
WHEREAS, said easement for utility purposes is un-
necessary for present or prospective public use and is proposed
to be vacated;, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Azusa
has acted upon said proposed vacation by adoption of its Resolu-
tion No. 812 on August 6, 1969, approving vacation of said ease-
ment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Azusa
hereby declares its intention to vacate all its right, title and
interest in and to that certain real property described below
pursuant to Title 5, Division 1, Part 1, Chapter 2; Article 5 of
the Government Code of the State of California:
That that certain Easement Deed to the City of
Azusa, Los Angeles County, California, dated
July 18, 1949 and signed by H. J. Leland as
grantor, be and the same is hereby particularly
described as follows, to wit:
That portion of Lot 68 of Azusa Land and Water
Company Subdivision No. 2 as per Map recorded
in Book 43, Page 94 of Miscellaneous Records, re-
cords of said Los'Angeles County, which portion
was conveyed to the grantor herein by that
certain Deed recorded August 20, 1946 in Book
23576, Page 331 of Official Records, records of
said county: EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Northerly
490 feet of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that 8:00 P.M. on October 6,
1969, in the Council Chamber of the City of Azusa located in the
Azusa Auditorium at 213 East Foothill Boulevard in Azusa,
California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for public
hearing on the proposed vacation at which time the City Council
shall hear all persons interested;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is directed
to publish notice of said hearing in the Azusa Herald and Pomo-
tropic, a newspaper of general circulation published in the City
of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, California, not less than once
each week for two successive weeks prior to the date of said
hearing;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Public
Works is directed to post conspicuously along the easement des-
cribed above not less than three (3) notices of easement vacation,
which notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300)
- 1 -
feet apart and shall state the time and place of said hearing
and the date of adoption of this Resolution;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall
certify to the adoption of this Resolution. -
Adopted and approved this 2nd day of September ,
1969.

general circulation, printed and published semi-weekly
in the city of Azusa. County of Los Angeles, and
which newspaper has been adjudged a newspaper of
general circulation by the Superior Court of the County
of Los Angeles, State of California, under the date
of April 20, 1934, Case Number 371-514; that the
notice, of which the annexed is a printed copy (set in
type not smaller than nonpareil), has been published
in each regular and entire issue of said newspaper and
not in any supplement thereof on the following dates,
to -wit: ....September 14, 21
all in the year 1969
