A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA AMENDING THE PERSONNEL RULES AND
REGULATIONS AS ADOPTED BY RESOLUTION NO. 3914
PERTAINING TO EXTENSION OF PROBATIONARY PERIOD
FOR MEMBERS OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. After recommendation to the City Council
by the Personnel Board of the City of Azusa, Section 78 of the
Personnel Rules and Regulations as adopted by Resolution No. 3914,
is hereby amended to read as follows:
!'Sec. 78 Length of Probationary Period. All classified
appointments shall a for a probationary period of six
months. Time worked in a temporary status shall not
count towards completion of a probationary period. For
members of the Police Department an additional probation-
ary period of up to six months will be required when the
probationary employee has not completed the necessary
Training Program within the first six months of his em-
ployment, due to non-availability thereof. During this
additional six months the employee may be discharged
for failure to complete satisfactorily such training
program."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
Adopted and approved this 4th day of August , 1969.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a.regular
meeting thereof held on the. 4th day of August ,1969, by
the following vote of the Council:
AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, Decker, Cooney, Calvert, Solem
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT: Councilmen: None
