HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 5730RESOLUTION NO. 5730 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF.AZUSA COMMENDING EDWARD A. COONEY. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, Mr. Edward A. Cooney served this City on the Planning Commission for four years; and WHEREAS, he subsequently served the citizens of Azusa as a Councilman for seven and a half years; and WHEREAS, during his service upon the City Council he served as Mayor Pro Tempore four and a half years and Mayor of the City of Azusa from 1967-1968; and WHEREAS, Mr. Cooney has served in numerous civic committees and clubs as well as represented this City at County and State level functions to the benefit of the citizens of Azusa; and WHEREAS, he has resigned from the City Council in order to serve the City as Accounting Director, where he has continued to show his fine concern and skills; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Azusa that it extend its sincerest appreciation for the many services rendered to it and the citizens of Azusa by Mr. Edward A. Cooney, and wishing him well in his new activities for the betterment of the City Government and the entire community. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and transmit a certified copy thereof to Mr. Cooney. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 26th day of.
