HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 5706RESOLUTION NO. 5706 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA EXPRESSING ITS SORROW AND EXTENDING ITS SYMPATHIES TO THE FAMILIES OF MEMBERS OF THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL RECENTLY KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Azusa has been shocked and grieved at the news of the untimely deaths of Roger D. Gore, Walter C. Frago, George M. Alleyn, and James E. Pence, Jr., in the line of duty while serving as Officers of the California Highway Patrol; and, WHEREAS, this City Council wishes to express its admiration for the courage of said Officers, and extend its sympathies to their bereaved families; BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Azusa, on behalf of itself and all the residents of the City --of Azusa, hereby expresses its deepest sorrow and extends its sympathies to the families of Roger D. Gore, Walter C. Frago, George M. Alleyn, and James E. Pence, Jr. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. Adopted and approved this 6th day of April 1970 I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day of April 1970 , by the following vote of the Council: AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, Decker, Snyder, Calvert, Solem NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: None
