A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
AMENDING THE PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS AS ADOPTED
BY RESOLUTION NO. 3914 RELATING TO LEAVES OF ABSENCE,
REIMBURSEMENT FOR CERTAIN LOSSES, AND PAYMENT OF TUITION.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. After recommendation to the City
Council by the Personnel Board of the City of Azusa,
Paragraph 5 of Section 86 of the Personnel Rules and
Regulations as adopted by Resolution No. 3914 is hereby
amended to read in full as follows:
"Par. 5 Industrial In'ur Provisi: Any
classified full-time employee w o has a onsained
permanent status and is disabled by virtue of an
injury incurred in'the line of duty, shall continue
to receive full salary without any use of sick leave,
less Workman's Compensation, for a period of 90 days
when such request for compensation is accompanied
by proper supporting medical documents. If such
disability should continue beyond the initial 90 -
day period, than leave may be continued for as
long as such disabling injury remains, subject to
City Council review at the end of each 90 -day
period, but not to continue beyond an aggregate
period of one calendar year. If an additional
leave is requested under Section 8 8, application
must be made at least 30 days prior to the ex-
piration date."
SECTION 2. After recommendation to the City
Council by the Personnel Board of the City of Azusa, a
new Paragraph 7 is hereby added to Section 86 of the
Personnel Rules and Regulations as adopted by Resolution
No. 3914 to read as follows:
"Par. 7 Pro ert Loss. No reimbursement will be
made for os or damaged personal property, except
under extenuating circumstances, and with approval
of the immediate supervisor and the City Council."
SECTION 3. After recommendation to the City
Council by the Personnel Board of the City of Azusa, a
new Section 108.1 is hereby added to the Personnel Rules
and Regulations as adopted by Resolution No. 3914 to read
as follows:
"Sec. 108.1 Cost of Training. The cost of job-
related training courses including tuition,
registration, and other incidental costs shall be
paid by the City upon successful completion of the
course by any permanent City employee, in an amount
not to exceed 100 per calendar year. Any employee
taking advantage of this policy must agree to con-
tinue employment with the City for one year beyond
completion of the course."
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the

adoption of this Resolution.
1970. Adopted and approved this 6th day of April ,
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day of
April , 1970, by the following vote of the
Council.
