CITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA. APRIL 15, 1935. 7•:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa
met in regular session at the above
time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen:
McIntire, Carr, Chester, Morden, City
Attorney and City Clerk.
Absent: Councilman Arnold.
The minutes of the last regular meeting
of April 1, 1935 were read and approved
as read.
A request, to open a dress shop in the
residence zone, was presented by Mr.
Aguirre.
Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by
Councilman McIntire that same be re-
ferred to the City Attorney to report
back at the next regular meeting.
A notice of meeting of the Azusa Citrus
Association was read and ordered placed
on file.
A request made by John Wesley Grande to
use the Auditorium on April 28, 19350
was read.
Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by
Councilman McIntire that the City Clerk
be instructed to notify Mr. Grande that
his request had been granted.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr,
Chester, Morden.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Arnold.
Mr. Evans requested the use of the
Auditorium on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays
in each month.
Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by
Councilman Carr that same be granted pro-
vided the Council are not making use of
it.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr,
Chester, Morden.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Arnold.
A clause attached to policy written by
the Maryland Casualty Company was present-
ed.
' Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by
Councilman McIntire that same be "referred
to the City Attorney to report back at
the next regular meeting.
The matter of employing an expert to
write the History of the City of Azusa and
enter it as an -SERA Project, was dis-
cussed.
Moved by Councilman Carr, seconded by
Councilman McIntire that this matter be
referred to the Secretary of the Chamber
of Commerce.

Communications on the late allocation
of public monies were read and referred
to Councilman Chester for investigation.
Councilman Carr offered an Ordinance
entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS
ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, RELATING TO
THE BONDS OF THE CITY CLERK AND CITY ORDINANCE NO. 318
TREASURER OF SAID CITY AND REPEALING ADOPTED.
ORDINANCES NO. 3 AND NO. 72 .
to be read for the second time.
Moved by Councilman Carr, seconded by
Councilman McIntire that this Ordinance
be adopted as read and numbered Ordin-
ance Number 318.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr,
Chester, Morden.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Arnold.
Councilman Carr offered a Resolution
entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIF-
ORNIA, RELATING TO THE BONDS OF CERTAIN RESOLUTION NO. 1448
OFFICERS AND/OR EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY. ADOPTED.
Moved by Councilman Carr, seconded by
Councilman McIntire that this Resolution
be adopted as read and numbered Resolution
Number 1448.
