HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 57820 0 RESOLUTION NO. 5782 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ACCEPTING A CERTAIN GRANT OF EASEMENT AND DIRECTING THE RECORDING THEREOF. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1 That certain Grant of Easement executed by Avery Label Company under date of 26th day of August 19 70, granting to the CITY OF AZUSA, a Municipal Corporation in Los Angeles County, California, its successors and assigns, the right to perpetual easement and right of way for public purposes for roadway purposes in, on, over, under, across and along the following described real property situate in the CITY OF AZUSA, Los Angeles County, State of California to wit: The Southerly 21 feet of the following described property: That portion of the Rancho Azusa as confirmed to Henry Dalton by Patent, in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, recorded in Book 2, Page 106 of Patents, in the office of the county recorder of said county, bounded on the north by the southerly line of the right-of-way of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, 100 feet wide (formerly the Southern California Railway); bounded on the south by the northerly line of Foothill Boulevard, 44 feet wide, as established by deed recorded in Book 4473, Page 163 of Deeds, in the office of said county recorder; bounded on the west by the easterly line of Subdivision No. 2 of the Azusa Land and Water Company, as per map recorded in Book 43, Page 94 of Miscellaneous Records, in the office of said county recorder; and bounded on the east by the dividing line of the lands of Vosburg and Macneil as described in the deed recorded in Book 1032, Page 70 of Deeds, in the office of said county recorder. EXCEPT therefrom the Easterly 37 feet of the above-described property. The westerly side line of said Easterly 37 feet terminates on the north in the above described southerly line of said right-of-way of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway and on the south in the northerly line of Foothill Boulevard. ALSO EXCEPT that portion of said land described as follows: Beginning at a point in the northerly line of said Foothill Boulevard, distant thereon North 89° 54' 10" West 57 feet from the intersection of the above described dividing line between the lands of Vosburg and Macneil; thence northerly parallel with said dividing line North 0° 03' 32" East 50 feet; thence easterly parallel with said northerly line of Foothill Boulevard, South 89° 54' 10" East 20 feet to a line that is parallel with and distant Westerly 37 feet, measured at right angles from said dividing line; thence along said last mentioned parallel line South 0° 03' 32" West 50 feet to said northerly line of Foothill Boulevard; thence along said last mentioned northerly line North 89° 54' 10" West 20 feet to the point of beginning. To be known as Foothill Boulevard. Said Grant of Easement is hereby accepted, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause the same to be filed for record in the office of the County Recorder of said County. 0 0 SECTION 2 The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
