RESOLUTION NO. 5761
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
DETERMINING AND DECLARING THAT A CERTAIN STRUCTURE IS
AN UNSAFE BUILDING AND A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND THAT THE
SOME SHOULD BE ABATED.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows:
SECTION I. Pursuant to Subsection (b) of Section 203 of the Building Code
within the "County of Los Angeles Uniform Building Laws, 1968 Edition," as adopted and amended
by Chapter 1; Article Vlll of the Azusa Municipal Code, the City Council does hereby determine
and declare that the Building Official has examined the following described building or structure
and found the some to be an unsafe building as defined in said Section 203, that the Building
Official gave written notice to the owner stating the defects in said building and said notice was
served and published as therein provided, and that on the 7th day of July ,
1970 , the City Council did conduct a public hearing thereon at tFie time and place specified in
saiJ notice at which the owner and all persons interested in such building and structure were given
an opportunity to be heard.
SECTION 2. The City Council does hereby find, determine and declare from
the evidence that the building or structure located at 116 West Foothill Boulevard
Azusa, California on Real Property legally described as follows:

is on unsate building as detined by Section ZU.S, as amended, and constitutes a public nuisance in
that the some is structurally unsafe, constitutes a fire hazard, is dangerous to human life and
constitutes a hazard to public safety and to the public welfare by reason of dilapidation and
inadequate maintenance and repair; that said building or structure shall be abated by the repair,
rehabilitation, demolition or removal thereof in accordance with the procedure prescribed in said
Section 203, as amended, and to the extent and in such manner as to remedy the defects therein as
indicated by the Building Official; and that it is necessary because of the condition of said building.

abated. Such abatement must be completed within ninety (90) days from date of the receipt of this
notice by the legal owner.
SECTION 3. The Building Official is hereby instructed to proceed in accordance
with the terms and provisions of Section 203, as amended.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
