A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA,
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING WEEDS,
RUBBISH AND DIRT UPON PARKWAYS, SIDEWALKS OR PRIVATE
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF AZUSA TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE,
PURSUANT TO TITLE 4, DIVISION 3, PART 2, CHAPTER 13,
ARTICLE 3 (SECTION 39560 TO 39587 INCLUSIVE OF THE
GOVERNMENT CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA).
SECTION 1 . WHEREAS, grass, weeds, dirt, rubbish, rank growth and other
debris on private property and on the streets or along the sidewalks of the City of Azusa, create
a hazard and may be injurious to public health and safety and from which a public nuisance has
resulted, and the hazard will increase, and thereby create a much greater and more hazardous
situation, thereby creating a public nuisance and, as such, should be abated.
THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1 . That said nuisance created by such dirt, rubbish, weeds, grass, and rank
growth, be abated pursuant to Title 4, Division 3, Part 2, Chapter 13, Article 3, (Section
39560 to 39587 inclusive of the Government Code of the State of California) and the procedure
therein provided be taken to abate the public nuisance, and the Superintendent of Streets be
directed to cause notice to be published as provided by law and all other steps be taken to have
a hearing thereon before the City Council of the City of Azusa, on the 20thday of July, 1970,
at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the Auditorium, in the City of Azusa, to the end that said nuisance
be abated.
2. That the streets by their commonly known names and the property upon which
or in front of which, the nuisance exists is described as follows:
555 East Tenth Street

attest the same and certify as to the passage and adoption hereof.

Passed, approved and adopted on the 15th day of June, 1970,
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council
of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting of said Council of said City, on June 15, 1970,
and that same was passed by the following vote of the Council:
