RESOLUTION NO. 5737
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
ASSIGNING FUNDS FROM THE TOPICS PROGRAM.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Azusa has been advised that
it has allocated to it from Federal TOPICS funds, the sum of
$5+,359.00 for the fiscal years 1969-1970, and 1970-1971 and,
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has made a
thorough study of the program and its application to the City
of Azusa, and,
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has concluded
that the City of Azusa does not have within the City an
operational type traffic condition that would meet the cri-
teria of the TOPICS program, and,
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department, for the fore-
going reason, has recommended that the City's share of said
funds therefore be assigned to the Los Angeles County Road
Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Azusa, California, does resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City of Azusa does assign to
the Los Angeles County Road Department all of its fiscal year
1969-1970, and 1970-1971 share of the Federal TOPICS funds
in the sum of $51},359.00, or such other amount as may be
determined to be the City's share.
Section 2. That the City Clerk file a certified
copy of the ounc l minutes reflecting this action, with
the State of California, and notify the Clerk of the Los
Angeles County Board of Supervisors of this action, and request
the Supervisors adopt a resolution accepting these funds prior
to June 30, 1970.
