A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA AMENDING RESOLUTION N0. 4693 BY AMENDING
THE CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATIONS FOR CITY
ENGINEER.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
follows:

SECTION 1. The classification specifications attached to
Resolution No. 46932 adopted July 20, 1964, as amended, are hereby
further amended by substituting the classification specifications
for City Engineer, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof,
in place of the classification specifications for City Engineer
attached to said Resolution No. 4693.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
Adopted and approved this 16th day of February 1971.

A valid certificate of registration as a civil engineer, issued by
the State of California, Board of Registration for Professional
Engineers. A valid motor vehicle operator's license issued by the

CITY ENGINEER
Job Summary
Under administrative direction - organizes, coordinates, and
supervises the design, survey, office, and report activities of the
Engineering Division, and Building Division;'coordinate`s major

dination with public works inspection, building inspection, city
planning, water utility division, and other City activities; and

Organizational'Responsibilities
City Engineer is a one-posltiom class heading -the Engineering Division
andoBuilding Division, with.the responsibilities established by the
State Code,.reporting to .the Director•of Public Works and supervising
professional and.subprofessional staff of 8•to•10 personsa City
policy determines that almost all design and survey; including the
design of structures, will be done "in-house" rather than through
contract service.
