HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 60070 0 RESOLUTION NO. 6007 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING SECTIONS 78 AND 86 OF THE CIVIL SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS, RELATING TO PROBATIONARY PERIODS. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1. Pursuant to the recommendations of the Person- nel Board, Section 78 of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations of the City of Azusa is hereby amended to read: "Section E Length of Probationary Period: All classified n ments shall appoibe for a probationary period of six months with the exception of Fire and Police Department personnel, in which cases, all appointments, including promotionals, shall be for a probationary period of twelve months. Time worked in a temporary status shall not count towards com- pletion of a probationary period." SECTION 2. Pursuant to the recommendations of the Personnel Board, paragraph 1(a) of Section 86 of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations of the City of Azusa is amended to read: "Section 86 Sick Leave: Par. 1(a) Sick Leave During Probationary Period: Sick leave may be taken wifh—pay—during proEaE-ionary period, but only in such amount as an employee would earn if on permanent status; however, should the employee not achieve permanent status, all paid sick leave must be reimbursed to the City at the time of termination of employment. In the event no sick leave is taken during the probationary period, a credit of six days leave, or more as accrued, will be granted at the time the employee attains permanent status." SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
