HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 6005RESOLUTION NO. 6005 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA COMMENDING ERNEST OLIVAS. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, Ernest Olivas was first employed by the City of Azusa on February 4, 1950, and diligently served the City of Azusa for 22 years until his retirement on July 15, 1972, and WHEREAS, Ernest served the City well in the unsung task of custodian, working in early morning hours to keep the City offices and buildings in a clean and commendable condition, which both added to the moral of the other city employees and maintained the appearance of the City buildings to the Public in an excellent manner; and WHEREAS, he will be remembered by his fellow City employees as a pleasant personality, a worker who applied himself to his appointed duties in a concerned manner, and who will be missed now that he has retired; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Azusa that its warmest appreciation be extended to Ernest Olivas for 22 years of faithful service to the people of this community, and, further, extend its most sincere best wishes for a long and rewarding retirement. Adopted and approved this 17th day of July, 1972.
