"The City Council of the City of Azusa
met in regular session at the above
time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen:
McIntire, Carr, Chester, Morden, City
Attorney and City Clerk.
Absent: Councilman Arnold.
The minutes of the last regular meeting
of July 15, 1935 were read and approved
as read.
The monthly report of the Los Angeles
County Health Department was offered
and ordered placed on file. -
Councilman Carr offered a Resolution
entitled: -
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIF-
ORNIA, TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF ONE THOUS-
AND SIX HUNDRED AND TWENTY-TWO DOLLARS
($1,622.00) FROM THE 1915 DEFICIENCY FUND
TO THE SERIES ACCOUNT.
Moved by Councilman McIntire, seconded by
Councilman Chester that this Resolution
be adopted as read and numbered Resolution
No. 1458.

Cathryn Calvert's request for a two weeks
vacation, beginning August 12, 1935, was
presented.
Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by
Councilman McIntire that same be granted,

Angel Marquez requested permission to
operate a pool hall and restaurant at
213 Soldano Avenue.
Vincente Cruz protested the issuance
of such a license.
Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by
Councilman McIntire that this matter be
referred to the Chief of Police to report
to the City Council:
Chief of Police Bierbower recommended
that this license be denied.
Moved by Councilman Carr, seconded by
Councilman McIntire that Angel Marquez
be denied a license to operate a pool
hall and restaurant at 213 Soldano Avenue.
