RESOLUTION NO. 5950
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA DENYING A VARIANCE. (Variance Case No.
V-287 - J. E. Delaney)
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find and determine
that there was filed with the Planning Commission the application of
J. E. Delaney (Variance Case No. V-287) requesting the waiver of the
two -car garage requirement in the R -lc Zone on property located at
339 South Pasadena Avenue, that a hearing thereon was duly conducted
by the Planning Commission and the Planning Commission denied the
variance, that the matter was appealed to the City Council and the
City Council held a hearing thereon and proper and legal notice of
hearing was duly given.
SECTION 2. After due notice and public hearing, the City
Council finds:
(a) That there is adequate space on the property to
construct a two -car garage and to provide necessary ingress and egress
thereto. The strict application of the zoning ordinance will not
deprive the owner of any privilege enjoyed by other property in the
same vicinity and in the same zone.
(b) The granting of the variance would be materially
detrimental to the public welfare and injurious to properties in the
vicinity by compelling on -street parking.
SECTION 3. Variance Case No. V-287 (J. E. Delaney) is
hereby denied.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of thie resolution.
Adopted and approved this 22nd day of February , 1972.
