HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 59430 RESOLUTION NO. 5943 1-1 L A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TO FILE A WRITTEN ARGUMENT FOR A CITY MEASURE. WHEREAS, a regular general municipal election is to be held in the City of Azusa on April 11, 1972, at which there will be submitted to the qualified electors of said City the following City measure: "Shall the first paragraph of Section 8 of the civil service initiative ordinance of the City of Azusa, adopted by the voters of the City on April 11, 1950, be amended to require the personnel board by rule to provide for a period of probation not to exceed one year in length, in place of the present six months probationary period, during which>an employee may be rejected?" NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER, as follows: SECTION 1. That this City Council, being the legislative body of the City of Azusa, hereby authorizes: Jens J. Solem Willard R. Decker Fernando A. Rubio Robert R. Snyder Donald F. Clark members of said body, to file a written argument for the City measure set forth in the recitals hereof in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 4 of the Elections Code of the State of California and to change said argument until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which no arguments for or against said City measure may be submitted to him. ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 7th day of February, 1972. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of February, 1972, by the following vote of Council: AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, Decker, Snyder, Clark, Solem NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: None
