HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 6118RESOLUTION NO. 6118 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ACCEPTING A CERTAIN GRANT OF EASEMENT AND DIRECTING THE RECORDING THEREOF. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1 . That certain Grant of Easement executed by McKeon Construction, a California Corporation, under date of 19th day of April , 1973, granting to the CITY OF AZUSA, a Municipal Corporation in Los Angeles County, California, its successors and assigns, the right to perpetual easement and right of way for public purposes for roadway purposes in, on, over, under, across and along the following described real property situate in the CITY OF AZUSA, Los Angeles County, State of California to wit: All of that portion of Lot 56 of Subdivision No. 2, Azusa Land and Water Company, as per map recorded in Book 43, Page 94, Miscellaneous Records in the office of the County Recorder of said County; more particularly described as follows: COMMENCING at the Southeasterly corner of said Lot 56; thence North 00° 22' 29" East along the Easterly line of said Lot 56, a distance of 175.05 feet (record 175.00 feet as shown in that certain Grant Deed to the City of Azusa, a Municipal Corporation, recorded on May 8, 1972, in Book D5454, Page 550, official records said County) to the Southerly corner of that parcel of land conveyed to the said City by said Grant Deed; thence leaving the said Easterly line of Lot 56 North 29° 37' 54" West along the Southwesterly line of said City parcel being along the centerline and its Southerly prolongation of Vernon Avenue 100.00 feet wide, a distance of 233.54 feet (record North 29° 37' 42" West 233.48 feet) to the Westerly corner of the said City parcel, the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing North 290 37' 54" West along the said centerline of Vernon Avenue 782.06 feet; thence Northeasterly along a line which is parallel with and 50.00 feet Southeasterly of the `centerline of Sierra Madre Avenue, being along the arc of a non -tangent curve concave to the Northwest having a radius of 1,500.00 feet from an initial tangent bearing of North 65° 02' 43" East through a central angle of 02° 53' 58" an arc distance of 75.91 feet; thence leaving the said parallel line Southerly along a non -tangent curve concave to the East having a radius of 25.00 feet from an initial tangent bearing of South 62° 08' 45" West through a central angle of 91° 46' 39" an arc distance of 40.05 feet to a point in a line which is parallel with and 50.00 feet Northeasterly of the said centerline of Vernon Avenue; thence South 290 37' 54" East along the last said parallel line 728.90 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve; thence leaving the last said parallel line Easterly along said tangent curve concave to the North having a radius of 25.00 feet through a central angle of 84° 43' 22" an arc distance of 36.97 feet to a point in the Northerly line of the said City parcel; thence Southwesterly along the Northwesterly line of said City parcel being along the arc of a non -tangent curve concave to the Southeast having a radius of 235.00 feet from an initial tangent bearing of South 65° 38' 44" West through a central angle of 05° 16' 38", an arc distance of 21.64 feet; thence South 60° 22' 06" West 51.09 feet to the TRUE CIPOINT OF BEGINNING. Containing 0.90 acres more or less. Said Grant of Easement is hereby accepted, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause the some to be filed for record in the office of the County Records of said County. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. v • 1. • Adopted and approved this 16th day of July, 1973.
