HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 6058T RESOLUTION NO. 6058 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA VACATING A PORTION OF OLD SIERRA MADRE AVENUE WHICH HAS BEEN SUPERSEDED BY RELOCATION. The City Council.of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby find and declare that the portion of old Sierra Madre Avenue which is hereinafter described has been superseded by re- location of the street and is no longer necessary for street and highway purposes or for any other public purpose. SECTION 2. Pursuant to Sections 1930 to 1933 inclusive of the Streets and Highways Code, the City Council hereby vacates the following portion of old Sierra Madre Avenue: That portion of Lot 2, Section 26, Township 1 North, Range 10 West, S.B.B.&M., in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, as shown on file in the United States Government Land Office at Los Angeles, being that portion of said land described in the deed to the County of Los Angeles, registered February 21, 1928 as Document No. 138657 lying Northerly of the following described line: Beginning at a point distant North 00 04' 17" East 47.15 feet from the Southwest corner of said Lot 2; thence South 880 441 36" East 659.47 feet, to a point in the westerly line of that parcel of land described in the deed to Arthur E. Camplain, et ux, recorded in Book D2818, Page 356, Official Records,as distant north .00 -11' -38" east 223.10 feet. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and cause a certified copy hereof to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder. Adopted and approved this 15th day of January , 1973.
