HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 63640 RESOLUTION NO. 6364 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING THE AZUSA HIGH SCHOOL VARSITY FOOTBALL TEAM ON ITS ACHIEVEMENTS WHEREAS, the Azusa High School Varsity Football Team, during its 1975 Season attained great achievements in the arena of athletic prowess, and WHEREAS, because of its teamwork and tenacity brought great honor and distinction to both Azusa High School, as well as the City of Azusa, through a long and arduous season in which it won eleven victories, an unprecedented, undefeated record which led to a Montview League Championship, and WHEREAS, the "Fighting Aztecs" advanced to the Quarter Final Playoffs of the California Interscholastic Federation, Two A Championship, and WHEREAS, recognizing that this spirit of competition and unwavering devotion to excellence is what constitutes, in great part, the best of human endeavor; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Azusa does highly commend the Azusa High School Varsity Football Team on its outstanding achievements. Adopted and approved this 18th day of December, 1975. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1.
