The City Council of the City of Azusa met in Special Session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr, Arnold, Chester and Roll call. City Clerk. Absent: Mayor Morden. Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by Councilman Chester to Councilman Carr that Councilman Chester act as Mayor Pro tem. act as Mayor Pro tem in the absence of Mayor Morden. The call of the Specail meeting was read as follows: TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Azusa, State of California, IS HERE3Y CALLED to be held in the Council Chamber of said city at the hour of 9:30 o'clock A.M. on•Tuesday the 1st day of October, 1935, for the purpose of considering and acting upon the following propositions, to -wit: First: The introduction of an Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA RELATING TO THE CARE AND EXPENDITURE OF MONEYS RECEIVED FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA UNDER THE PROVISION OF ARTICLE 50 CHAPTER 1, DIVISION 1 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE. Second: To determine the Streets upon which the ' expenditure of the City's 4 cent gas tax appropriation, is to be made in accordance with the provisions of Article 5, Chapter 1, Division 1 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. Absent: Biuyor :"ordon. rte' Councilman Chester not voting;. MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING. OCTOBER 1, 1935. 9:30 A.M. Moved by Councilman Carr, seconded by Councilman McIntire that the tentative appropriation allocated to the City of Azusa, from the 4 cent gas tax fund, for City Streets of Major importance be expended for the improvement of the following streets: 263' Streets to be improved with gas tax moneys. Tenth Street from Vernon to San Gabriel Avenue. Angeleno Avenue from Santa Fe Railroad Tracks to Eleventh Street ' Sixth Street from Monte Vista to Cerritos. Fifth Street from Azusa Avenue to City Limits Soldano Avenue from Second Street to Foothill Boulevard. Pasadena Avenue from Foothill Boulevard to Broadway Road. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire; Carr, Arnold, Chester. Noes: None. Absent: Mayor Morden.
