HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 6341J\ RESOLUTION NO. 6341 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ORDERING THE VACATION OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF SAN GABRIEL AVENUE SUBJECT TO THE RESERVATION AND EXCEPTION OF CERTAIN RIGHTS AND EASEMENTS. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby find, determine and declare as follows: (a) That on the 6th day of October, 1975, at a regular meeting of said Council, Resolution No. 6339 was duly adopted setting the time and place for hearing on the proposed vacation of a certain portion of San Gabriel Avenue between First Street and Foothill Freeway in the City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles. (b) That said hearing was duly held and the Planning Com- mission having approved the proposed vacation. (c) That the hereinafter described portion of San Gabriel Avenue within the City of Azusa is not necessary for present or pros- pective public street purposes and the general welfare and convenience of the City of Azusa require that the same be vacated. (d) That the hereinafter described portion of San Gabriel Avenue is vacated as a public street: A portion of San Gabriel Avenue as shown in Tract No. 13963 recorded in Map Book 280, pages 20 and 21, more particularly described as follows: That portion of San Gabriel Avenue lying between the prolongation of the Southerly right-of-way line of First Street (80 feet wide) and the Northerly right-of-way of the 210 Freeway as it existed on September 22, 1975. Reserving and excepting from said vacation the permanent easement and right at any time or from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, and renew sanitary sewers and appurtenant structures thereof and to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew, and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles, and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of water lines, telegraphic and telephone energy, including access and the right to keep the property free from inflammable materials, and wood growth, and otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon, and over the street or part thereof proposed to be vacated. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
