A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL.OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA; COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE
OFFICIAL COUNT AND CANVASS'OF VOTES AS
CERTIFIED. BY THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF
THE.COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES; STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, ON CERTAIN MEASURES RELATING
TO THE ELECTION AND.TERM OF OFFICE OF THE
MAYOR;.IN.THE.GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON
NOVEMBER 5, 1974. 1.
WHEREAS, a special election of the City of Azusa
having been called pursuant to Resolution No. 6199 of the
City Council of the City of Azusa, and
WHEREAS, the'City Council of the City of Azusa, by
its Resolution No. 6200, requested the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Los Angeles, to consolidate said special .
election with the statewide election held on the same date,
and that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles
canvass the returns, and
WHEREAS, the Registrar of Voters of Los Angeles
County has certified the result of said vote to the_City Clerk
of the City of Azusa, and which certified result is now on
file in the Office of the City Clerk.
THEREFORE, be it resolved and determined that the
special election of the City of Azusa held on November 5,
1974, was held in the manner required by law. That there are
twenty-nine (29) precincts as established in the manner pro-
vided by law. That the total number of votes cast in each
of the 29 precincts in favor and against the measures voted
upon, and the measures voted upon are as follows:

elect a mayor and four City Councilmen
instead of electing five City Council
men, one of whom is chosen by the
members"of`the City Council to.act as

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that at said General Election
Proposition 'K' was.carried by a vote of 4128 in favor of the'.
same and 1026 against the same. The majority of votes cast
being for said proposition, it is.hereby declared that the
same proposition won.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that at said General Election
Proposition IL' was carried by a vote of 3603 in favor of the
same and 1248 against the same. The majority of votes cast
being for said proposition, it is hereby declared that the
same proposition won.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that at said General Election
Proposition IMI lost by a vote of 1294 in favor of the same
and 3337 against the same. The majority of votes cast being
against said proposition, it is hereby declared that the same
proposition lost.
Adopted and approved this 16th day of
December 1974.

regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day of December,
