HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 6248�J • • RESOLUTION NO. 6248 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF .AZUSA ACCEPTING A CERTAIN GRANT OF EASEMENT AND DIRECTING THE RECORDING THEREOF. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1 That certain Grant of Easement executed by CITY OF GLENDORA under date of 20th day of June 1974, granting to the CITY OF AZUSA, a Municipal Corporation in Los Angeles County, California, its successors and assigns, the right to perpetual easement and right of way for public purposes for utility in,'on, over, under, across and along the following described real property situate in the CITY_ OF AZUSA, Los Angeles County, State of California to wit: A strip of land six (6) feet in width lying within a portion of the South one-half of Lot 64 as shown on Map of Subdivision No. 2, Azusa Land and Water Co., as per map recorded in Book 43, Page 94, of Miscellaneous Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said Los Angeles County. The Southeasterly line of said strip of land six (6) feet in width is described as follows: Commencing at the Southwesterly comer of Lot 1 of Tract No. 20971, as per map recorded in Book 593, Pages 65 to 67 inclusive, of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said Los Angeles County; thence North 77° 40' 35" West 767.46 feet, more or less, to a point in that certain course described as having a bearing of North 61° 07' 22" East and a length of 560.24 feet in a Grant Deed executed by San Gabriel River Spreading Corporation recorded on November 9, 1964 in Book D2692, Page 106, of Official Records of said Los Angeles County, said last mentioned point being the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING for the strip of land being hereby described; thence Southwesterly to a point in the Westerly line of said Lot 64, said point being distant Northerly 5 feet along said Westerly line from the Southwesterly corner of said Lot 64. THE GRANTEES, their successors and assigns and their respective contractors, agents, and employees, shall have the right of ingress to and egress from said easement and every part thereof, at all times, for the purpose of exercising the rights herein granted and shall have the right to trim o top tr es and/or such other growth as may endanger or interfere with the use of said easement. * see be��aid Grant of Easement is hereby accepted, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause the same to be filed for record in the office of the County Records of said County. SECTION 2 The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
