Moved by Councilman Carr, seconded by
Councilman Chester that a restaurant
license be issued Mr. Marquez in
accordance with the terms of the
Release just read.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council:

Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by
Councilman Arnold that the American Carpets and curtains
' Cynamide Company be granted the privilege to be treated for

THOUSAND DOLLARS (5000.00) FROM THE RESOLUTION NO. 1472
LIGHT RESERVE FUND TO THE LIGHT FUND AND ADOPTED.
TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF NINE THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($9000.00) FROM THE LIGHT FUND
TO THE GENERAL FUND.
Moved by Councilman Carr, seconded by
Councilman McIntire that this Resolution
' be adopted as read and numbered Resolution
No. 1472.

The minutes of the last regular meeting
of October 21, 1935 were read and

The City Attorney reported that he had
met with Mr. Sweet, Attorney for Angel
Angel Marquez
Marquez, regarding the Mandamus suit
granted license to
in Superior Court. He stated that Mr.

Marquez has agreed to release the City
from all liability, withthe understanding
that a license to operate a restaurant
be issued.

The matter of granting Mr. Dilley permission
to cut a curb, for a driveway in front of
his.place of business on Foothill Boulevard
was discussed.
Moved by Councilman Carr, seconded by
Councilman Arnold that same be referred
to the Street Superintendent with power
to act.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council:
