HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 62180 RESOLUTION NO. 6218 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA RELATING TO STANDBY SERVICE. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1: STANDBY TIME "The City Council may from time to time when it determines that the public service will benefit thereby, authorize the Department Head of any City Department to assign employees of the department employed at the foreman level or at any other appropriate lower level to serve standby time and answer emergency calls during off-duty hours for one- week periods. Assignment to standby duty shall be on a voluntary basis and shall be rotated among those eligible employees who desire to serve. The Department Head shall be responsible for establishing reasonable standby work schedules for the department. If for any reason an employee is unable to serve during his scheduled period of standby duty, he shall report to the Police Department immediately, and to the Department Head as soon as practicable, that he will not be available and he shall furnish the name of the employee who will be replacing him for standby. The City Council shall by motion or resolution establish the rates of compensation which shall be paid to employees who serve standby time." SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. Adopted and approved this 28th day of June, 1974.
