HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 64250 0 RESOLUTION NO. 6425 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA HONORING AND COMMENDING CAMILLA WILLIAMS FOR HER SERVICE TO THE CITY OF AZUSA. WHEREAS, Camilla Williams is retiring from her position as member of the City of Azusa Parks and Recreation Commission, and WHEREAS, her retirement ends one part of a long, distinguished and dedicated public service career, as a teacher, principal, officer and member of the Azusa Women's Club, officer and member of the Azusa Historical Society, member of Eastern Star, Sunday School Superintendent, among the first women elders of the First Presbyterian Church in Azusa, and as member and president of the City of Azusa Parks and Recreation Commission, and WHEREAS, for most of her life she has consistently exhibited a deep and abiding concern for the well being of the City of Azusa and its residents, and WHEREAS, this concern felt by her has led her into the many varied areas of civic and community involvement herein enumerated, and WHEREAS, the City of Azusa is both proud and humbly grateful for the extremely good fortune to have Camilla as a driving and creative force in the development and progress of the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Azusa expresses to its friend Camilla, its deep and heartfelt thanks for a job well done, and calls upon the community to join it in extending best wishes for a long and happy life ever filled with continuing satisfaction.
