HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 6413• 1 • RESOLUTION NO. 6413 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA REQUESTING AN ALLOCATION OF COUNTY AID TO CITIES FUNDS FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF CERRITOS AVENUE FROM FOOTHILL BOULEVARD TO 382.5 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF SIXTH STREET WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has appropriated certain monies to the City of Azusa as County Aid to Cities: and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to expend the amount of $65,000 of said funds accrued to the City for the reconstruction of approximately 1,020 lineal feet of city street involving demolition of existing roadway, earthwork, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, crossgutter and spandrel, crushed rock base, asphaltic concrete pave- ment, manhole, lamphole and water valve cover adjustments on Cerritos Avenue from Foothill Boulevard to 1,020 feet south of Foothill Boulevard; and WHEREAS, Cerritos Avenue is included in the City's currently approved Select System of Streets, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa resolves that: 1. The County of Los Angeles is hereby requested to allocate $65,000 of the Aid to Cities Funds apportioned to the City for the work specified above and to pay this amount to the City when claimed. 2. The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Los Angeles County Road Commissioner for processing. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. Adopted and approved this 21st day of June /Mayor of the City of Azusa 1976.
