HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 6467• RESOLUTION NO. 6467• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, COMMENDING JAY ECTOR FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE CITY OF AZUSA AS CITY LIBRARIAN. WHEREAS, JAY ECTOR is resigning from his employment with the City of Azusa, on October 15th, 1976, and WHEREAS, an efficient and comprehensive Library, the free and unfettered intellectual depository of ideas and information, is the mark of an enlightened community, and WHEREAS, JAY ECTOR, in his capacity as City Librarian, greatly expanded, enhanced and enlarged the availability of all that our City Library has to offer the City's residents, and WHEREAS, through his keen understanding of the community and its needs, he was ever sensitive and receptive to new programs and procedures, and WHEREAS, he accomplished all this while remaining a warm person, and WHEREAS, residents and employees alike have greatly benefitted from contact with Jay, intellectually and socially, and WHEREAS, his wisdom, learning and understanding will sorely be missed by all whose lives he has touched; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Azusa highly commend;Mr. Ector for accomplishing what he did for our City Library, and for the progressive direction he provided to its future; it further thanks him deeply for a job well done, and wishes him the best of good fortune in all future endeavors. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of October, 1976.
