RESOLUTION NO. 6+38
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF AZUSA COMMENDING LARRY
AND PAULINE ASMUS ON THE SUCCESSFUL
BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION IN THE CITY
OF AZUSA.
WHEREAS, during the course of the observance by the
City of Azusa of our nation's two hundredth anniversary, all
citizens were called upon to participate in the celebration,
and
WHEREAS, Larry and Pauline Asmus served our commun-
ity well by giving unstintingly of their time and efforts to
bring the celebration to all the residents of the City of Azusa,
and
WHEREAS, in the endeavor they brought to the fore all
those qualities of perseverance and dedication that made this
country a world leader, and
WHEREAS, through thoseefforts they made us all aware
of the meaning of the Bincentennial Celebration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the City of Azusa, that Pauline and Larry Asmus are to be highly
commended and congratulated for their leadership and participation
in realizing the successful Bicentennial program undertaken by
the City of Azusa; that their efforts solely motivated by love of
country made our lives richer and more meaningful by providing a
fuller and more profound understanding of the meaning and heritage
of these United States of America; for this, the City Council of
the City of Azusa, and all the residents of the City will forever
be grateful to these fine and outstanding citizens on what they
have accomplished.
Adopted and approved this 2nd day of August, 1976.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of August, 1976, by the follow-
ing vote of the Council:
