The City Council of the City of Azusa
met in regular adjourned session at
the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen:
McIntire, Carr, Arnold, Chester, Morden,
City Attorney and City Clerk.
Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by
Councilman Arnold that the Mayor and City
Clerk be authorized and instructed to
sign a proxy authorizing Walter Malone
to represent the City of Azusa at the
annual meeting of the Stockholders of the
Azusa Citrus Association.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr,
Arnold, Chester, Morden.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
An invitation, extended by the Mayor of
Sierra Madre, to attend the meeting held
in Arcadia was read.
Moved and carried that the City Clerk
make five reservations for the meeting.
A note, signed by Mrs. Keeny, expressing
her appreciation of the Azusa fireman's
prompt response to her call, was read
and ordered placed on file.
The City Clerk announced that she had
received six sealed bids in response to
' Notice Calling for Bids for pipe, fire
hydrants and gaskets.
Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by
Councilman Carr and duly carried that
these bids be now opened, examined and
publicly declared.

Councilman McIntire that the Council Executive session.
adjourn and enter executive session for
thirty minutes.
At the end of this time the meeting was
resumed.
Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by Southern Pipe & Casing
Councilman Carr that the bid of the Company bid accepted.

the City with steel pipe, be accepted.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr,
Arnold, Chester, Morden.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by
Councilman McIntire -that the bid sub- Rensselaer Valve bid

Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by City Clerk instructed
Councilman Arnold and duly carried that to return checks.
the City Clerk be instructed to return
the Cashier's Checks submitted with bids,
to the unsuccessful bidders.
Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by Adjournment.
Councilman Carr that the Council adjourn.
